Purchase jobs in India are an important designation in most factories and industries in India. Once you take up this assignment you will be responsible for procuring goods and services like equipments, raw materials, parts, tools, supplies, and even advertising, for the establishment.
Other responsibilities include reviews, requisitions, be in touch with vendors to obtain product or service information like availability of goods, price, return of defective goods and delivery schedule. In this position you are solely responsible for selecting products for purchase by testing or examining items.
Other responsibilities include maintaining procurement record like services or items purchased, date of purchase and delivery, costs involved, product quality or performance, and inventories. Work in coordination with inspection or quality control personnel to decide on utility and quality of goods or services and take corrective action. As a purchase manager you are responsible for approving invoices for payment.

- Purchase Ledger Clerk Jobs: Purchase ledger clerk is simply known as an accountant. The function of ledger clerks and accountants is to record the important documents like purchase and sales into the financial ledgers. They also have to keep cash and bank records. And there must also be an opposite entry into the financial ledger books such as purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank.
- Purchase Manager Jobs: The Purchasing Manager plays a very important role in vendor growth, procurement, and negotiation. A manager’s job is to plan, manage, direct, control and evaluate s the purchasing activities performed in the company.
- Purchasing Agent Jobs: As a Purchasing Agent, you will have to supervise all purchases related to a particular business or an organization. As an agent your main work is evaluating and approving potential vendors.
