Question: I am planning to go for small business of any computer related, can you please help me that how to go about it and what type of computer business I should do in the present market, I am having experience on computer hardware, networking and mail administration. Kindly help and expecting your favorable advice.
I’ll really appreciate if you can share some really nice ideas related to computer business, I preferably want to start small computer business from home.
Answer: Since you have experience, you can start hardware as well as maintenance programs. You don’t have to worry much. I am advising you to start both the things 1. Hardware & 2. Annual maintenance service to gather. The re is a great opportunity for the same. And in today’s world, commercial enterprises have to get annual maintenance programmer. So you can provide them a good service and earn as well.
How To Start a Computer Business
So you want to do business in computer assembly and spare parts.
- Contact with supplier
- Select Location where demand is higher
- Analyze and find who are the competitor
- Decide the type and size of business
- Decide about the equipment you want to deal in.
- The company specific equipment or particular assembly equipment
- Purchasing power of customer in locality you selected
- Advertisement in vernacular news paper
- Advertisement by pamphlets, brochures.
As we briefly discussed above points are crucial to understand to enter into this business.
What consumer demands is necessary to know to determine what shall be the future demand and what the current scenario is. Decide from whom you would like buying the stock you require. This would take the analysis of his reputation, financial capabilities, type of services, type of guarantees they give.
If possible try to situate you place of business in malls or super malls or super market where the people visiting the most. Identify who are the competitors near by you and find out their strategy and discounting and other guarantees scheme etc.
Then the next question is the product you will deal in . You have too many options like to deal in particular company’s product or to do in assembly computer. Margin wise the assembly computer business will yield more return than others. You can offer good schemes to attract customers.
Provide good after sales services and ensure your customer about quality of your product and services you will provide in future to build their trust.

I wanted to start a computer peripheral shop or computer accessories shop. What do you say about that. I am now residing at vellore tamilnadu.
How can i start the business in a small way first. I have experience in computer maintenance and did CCNA AND MCSE. buT i donot want to get into maintenance and servicing. I want to start of with computer accessories. I hope i can get items from chennai since it is near to vellore.

You are interested in that business and you have experience in the same field and that is great. If the materials are available near by your place, you can do it well.

Hello, I want to start a company which will provide online jobs to engineering students. These jobs will be flexible in time. It can be on daily basis or can be like a project. Further if job provider think that a student has done good work he can offer him a job after completing his degree. I will start providing jobs here. Since IITK is a well known technical institute. Hi… I am a computer Tech professional with 7 years of exp,with technical skills in computer hardware software, printing resources and networking infrastructure management skills. Currently working with an MNC pharma group as IT system support engineer managing all company computer resources i.e. installation configuration and troubleshooting and repair of computer equips etc.
I am planning to have or start my own computer solutions services + stationary products services of education and offices allied products.
I would like to have opinion on this that how to start or the prerequisites before going for own business i.e. in computer services.
