Question: How to reduce cost in my company. I am running from the loss and I really need your help. I want to reduce my cost in such a way that it doesn’t affect my other benefits.

Answer: As they volatile business environment keeps changing, every company should have a cost plan as a back up. If company has it, the care should be taken that no other benefit is compromised and nothing is lost. Today every company hires professionals to choose the cost reduction plan.

Cost of production, cost of office, cost of transportation, cost of administration, cost of loss etc should ne at extreme low level. As every company wants to have a great come back from the recession. This step is very critical for any organization.

The biggest question mark in front of any one is that how to reduce my cost so t5hat I don’t lose any other benefit E.

g. Employee’s confidence, reputation, share pricings etc. Finance managers, Chartered Accountants, Cost accountants are too busy these days to make a plan of cost reduction.

These are some areas where some special care should be taken.

  1. Don’t ever retrench the employees directly or in directly. Because it can give negative impact to the company. If you don’t want to lose the employees’ confidence and interest. Reducing the salary for some period of time can be a way to reduce the cost of company’s operations. But there should some limit of reducing the salary.
  2. There are many unequal expenses between the different levels of organization. For example, sometimes, too much fringe benefits becomes the reason of excessive cost. There some step of controlling of fringe benefit expenses should be taken.
  3. Organization’s machinery should be utilized optimally and there should be minimum amount of scrap and wastage of materials and inventory.

There are so many other ways to reduce the company’s expenses without losing the main benefits.
