Agriculture and plantation jobs in India involve production of fiber, feed, food and the other goods. This is usually done by synthetic growing or harvesting of animals and plants and other forms of life. This field is also known as “Agricultural Sciences” or “Agronomy”.

Planting a crop on a very large scale is called Plantation.

Fundamentally, Plantation is a large estate or a farm where items like coffee, tobacco, cotton, rubber or sugarcane etc., are cultivated. Crop is also known as plantation crops for the relation it has with the farming economy.

Graduates or post graduates of Agriculture and allied sciences have career options and opportunities in teaching, transfer-of-technology streams and research in SAU, and non government industry or organizations. Qualified candidates can avail bank loans and credits for the agri-based projects and other areas of competence.
